A Peek Inside My Personal Archive
As a designer, stylist, and collector, I’ve spent more than 25 years gathering beautiful things.
Some pieces come from estate sales. Some are discovered while traveling. Others are vintage treasures rescued from obscurity and given a second life.
But not everything I find makes its way into the shop.
Some pieces become part of my Personal Archive.
In the fashion world, an archive is a collection of garments and objects that are preserved because they hold inspiration, beauty, historical significance, or creative value. Designers often maintain archives as a way of studying construction, craftsmanship, textiles, and style across time.
My archive is a little less formal, but so valuable to me as it provides pieces of fashion history, a glimpse into garment construction, fabrication, couture handwork and so much more!
This is a little glimpse into one of my pieces from those archives…
These are the garments and objects I return to again and again for inspiration. Sometimes they influence a future design. Sometimes they become part of a photoshoot or styling project. Occasionally they are lent out for special occasions.
Most often, they simply remind me why I fell in love with beautiful vintage fashion in the first place.
This vintage nightgown is part of that collection.
A small glimpse into the archive.
Because sometimes the things we collect become part of the stories we’re still creating.
