From New York Fashion Designer to Altered Couture Artist

My journey began in New York City, where I spent more than twenty years working as a Fashion Designer and Creative Director.

Throughout my career, I designed collections, managed large sample rooms, developed products for major brands, and dressed television personalities, news broadcasters, and private clients.

While I loved the fashion industry, I became increasingly drawn to something slower and more personal.

I wanted to create pieces with meaning.

Pieces that honored craftsmanship.

Pieces that told a story.

Long before sustainable fashion became a movement, I began collecting vintage textiles, antique lace, rescued garments, and forgotten treasures.

What started as a creative experiment eventually evolved into my signature style: one-of-a-kind altered couture created through the art of re-creation.

Today, each piece is thoughtfully designed, layered, reconstructed, and finished by hand using a curated collection of vintage and contemporary materials gathered over decades.

For over two decades, I've been fascinated by the art of re-creation—taking something overlooked, forgotten, or unfinished and transforming it into something meaningful, beautiful, and entirely new. Each piece I create begins with a story. A vintage garment. A rescued textile. A treasured piece of lace. A forgotten detail waiting to be rediscovered. Through thoughtful layering, handwork, embellishment, and reconstruction, these materials are reimagined into one-of-a-kind wearable works of art. No two pieces are ever alike.
