One of a kind Altered Couture &Wearable Art
I I wOne of aKind
From New York Fashion Designer to Altered Couture Artist
My journey began in New York City, where I spent more than twenty years working as a Fashion Designer and Creative Director.
Throughout my career, I designed collections, managed large sample rooms, developed products, and dressed television personalities, news broadcasters, and private clients.
While I loved the fashion industry, I became increasingly drawn to something slower and more personal.
I wanted to create pieces with meaning. Less mass production, more handwork and couture art. Pieces that honored craftsmanship and told a story.
Long before sustainable fashion became a movement, I began collecting vintage textiles, antique lace, rescued garments, and forgotten treasures. What started as a creative experiment eventually evolved into my signature style: one-of-a-kind altered couture created through the art of re-creation.
Today, each piece is thoughtfully designed, layered, reconstructed, and finished by hand using a curated collection of vintage and contemporary materials gathered over decades. This NYC girl really did fall in love with a farmer and today I work from my design studio, which used to be an old carriage house, here in NJ. I also run a little vintage boutique in the garden center at the farm with lots of my new and vintage finds I gather along the way.
